Diane Thomas M.D. is the only female fellowship trained Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgeon in Merced County. Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. She completed a three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Louisiana State University in New Orleans prior to relocating back to her home state of California.

 As a urogynecologist, Dr. Thomas specializes in gynecology and female urology. FPMRS specialist are the experts in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of women with benign pelvic conditions, lower urinary tract disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction. With the advanced surgical training that she has received, Dr. Thomas is able to provide her patients an extensive range of treatment options. Including vaginal, laparoscopic, robotic, open, as well as other minimally invasive procedures. For the women who do not desire surgery or are not surgical candidates, in-office procedures are available. Dr. Thomas is a strong believer in education and working alongside her patients to determine the best treatment plan for their individual needs. She is committed to helping the women in the Central Valley be healthy.

 Originally from San Francisco, Dr. Thomas and her fiancé, Chef Ronnie are excited to be back in Northern California to raise their daughter in Merced. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, live music, spinning, laughter, food and volunteering.
